Kramer, Emerson to talk
on new Form 990 for ALI-ABA
Editor Don Kramer and fellow Montgomery, McCracken lawyer Karl Emerson will present their review of the new Form 990 on a 2-hour live video broadcast for ALI-ABA starting at noon Eastern time Wednesday June 18. They will approach the issue from the point of view of a donor looking to see whether a public charity is worth supporting and from the point of view of a governmental regulator concerned with material omissions or falsifications. Emerson was the Director of the Bureau of Charitable Organizations in Pennsylvania for 12 years prior to joining Montgomery, McCracken.
