Kramer to speak at PICPA Conference
Editor Don Kramer will provide an annual update on legal issues for nonprofit organizations at the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ annual Not-for-Profit Conference in Hershey, PA on June 15.
The talk will cover lessons learned from the conviction of a Pennsylvania state senator for defrauding charities (See Ready Reference Page: “Indictment Spells Out Claims of Benefit, Obstruction of Justice”), new developments in the Obama administration, accounting for “under water” endowments, and the most recent cases on nonprofit governance and liability.
The presentation, which will be completed in 50 minutes, will qualify for 1 hour of continuing professional education (accountants’ time).
For more information on the Conference, go to www.picpa.org.
