Employee may have failed to supervise
A nonprofit food bank may be liable for injuries incurred by a volunteer who was knocked over by a piece of equipment while trying to help a full time employee move goods on the food bank's loading dock.
A Court of Appeals in Louisiana has reversed a summary judgment which had dismissed a claim against the Food Bank and its insurer. (Wesley v. Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, No. 36-588-CA, Ct. of App., Second Cir., 1/7/03.)
