Doris Weingarten’s lawyer advised the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1994 that she was making a very substantial bequest to the Institute, provided that it agreed to establish a perpetual fund in the name of her and her husband and use income only for scientific research.  The Institute promptly agreed.
