More Leeway to Participate in Charity Events
Participation may not cast doubt on impartiality
but mere attendance does not violate ethics rules
Following the lead of the American Bar Association but not the recommendation of its own Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee, the Supreme Court of Florida has moved slightly to expand the permitted role of judges in charitable activities and fundraising events.
