failed to use bequests for nursing school
The niece of a couple that left 75% of the residuary of their estates to a charitable hospital in Schenectady, NY does not have standing to sue the hospital to enforce the terms of the gifts, a federal District Court in New York has ruled. The niece had sought to take the situation into her own hands when she was not satisfied with the response from the state Attorney General. (Rettek v. Ellis Hospital, N.D.
