How do we confront board for improper conduct of traveling group?

My son belongs to a performing arts group, where there has been some highly irregular activity by chaperones, including the director, on trips. Both adults and kids have gotten drunk and much of the behavior has been unmannerly. The board knows we don’t approve, but doesn’t seem to care what we think. As parents, how do we confront the board and prevent something tragic from happening?

As parents, it is unlikely you have a legal right to contest board action, but permitting minors to drink is probably illegal where you live. Gather as many parents as you can and directly confront the Board. If you get no satisfaction, you might complain to authorities about the drinking but your best recourse may be to remove your children from the program and let it be known why you did. If they have no kids to perform, they can’t stay in business.
