Each year while sleeping, playing, eating, and exploring, more than 14 million children incur injuries requiring medical attention. According to the National Injury Center for Prevention and Control of the National Centers for Disease Control, "20 to 25 percent of all children sustain an injury sufficiently severe to require medical attention, missed school and/or bed rest."
