Join us for an interactive discussion of ethical issues for nonprofit lawyers, directors and executives. Are the “rules” for dealing with ethical issues different for lawyers than for non-lawyer directors or executives? The problems face all of us. Are the consequences of bad ethical decisions different depending on your position with the organization?
This webinar will talk about the benefits of developing an organizational culture of ethical behavior. Through a series of hypothetical cases, it will deal with the special issues facing “the lawyer on the board,” fundraising issues, including confidentiality and honesty in presentation, activities of “political” charities, fiduciary duties of present and former directors, dealing with suicidal colleagues and more.
Some of the decisions are rules-based. Some are based on underlying law. Some are simply trying to determine a better answer among many acceptable responses. How do you make the choices?
We will discuss these issues with the participants in the program and a panel of lawyers active in nonprofit law and on the boards of nonprofit organizations.
Don Kramer, Esq., Editor of Nonprofit Issues will serve as the program co-moderator. Tish Mogan, Standards for Excellence Director, from the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations will join Kramer. This program is offered in partnership with PANO, Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
Purchasers will receive a package of materials and and the PowerPoint slides.
