Recorded November 11, 2016
This program discusses the differences between mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, strategic alliances, and takeovers. It discusses various alternative legal structures and the kind of “due diligence” investigation appropriate in considering any new relationship. It covers the types of procedures necessary to accomplish the goals, including the possible requirement for approval from the Attorney General.
Through a series of hypothetical examples, we put these considerations in context for discussion in real life situations so that listeners considering any new alliance can weigh the advantages and disadvantages of the alternatives. Don Kramer was joined by Virginia P. Sikes, Esq. for this 90-minute discussion.
