Hilary Koprowski, the world-renowned 93-year-old scientist who developed the first live polio vaccine and the rabies vaccine, has lost an attempt to obtain a preliminary injunction to prohibit Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia from moving his office. The University began to terminate its relationship with Koprowski and his nonprofit research entity during the summer of 2010, and offered to help him move his research activity to other “readily available” lab space.
