After nearly five years of dissent and litigation, the deposed director of a singles club in California has won the right to continue litigation over his status, where he is ultimately most likely to lose again. Dennis Bennett claimed that he was removed from his position as a director when the board president of Stockton Singles, Inc., a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, held a secret meeting in 2018, intentionally made false comments and convinced the attending directors to vote for his removal.
