A federal District Court in Pennsylvania has refused to grant a summary judgment against a 55-year old financial officer who claimed age discrimination when she was terminated and not selected as chief financial officer after four legal services agencies merged and reorganized the fiscal department. The Court has said that the employee raised sufficient issues of fact to survive the dismissal before trial. Four legal services agencies merged in 2001, and the Board appointed a single executive director after a “management council” of the four former executives was deemed ineffective.
