Volunteers for a nonprofit organization providing education and support services for people living with HIV and AIDS are not personally liable to an employee who voluntarily resigned after complaining about a hostile work environment they allegedly created for the employee. Kelly Gavin worked for eight years for the AIDS Coalition of Coastal Texas. Pamela Froeschner and Robert Evans were volunteers in various capacities, including serving on the board of directors. In 2010, Gavin submitted a grievance against Froeschner, complaining that Froeschner repeatedly said she should be fired, commented on the amount of time off that she took, occasionally refused to speak with her, did not answer...
